These structured wiring enclosures offer a well-organized way to manage and distribute telephone,
TV, and network systems. Enclosures are an efficient distribution solution for the home or small
upgradeable and economical answer to cable management.
Installation:
Surface Mounting:
1.) Mounting holes are located on the back of the unit for surface mounting.
2.) Mount only to SECURE structures.
3.) Remember to leave sufficient space for cable entry.
In-Wall Mounting:
1.) Install stud mounting tabs in correct slots on outside of enclosure.
2.) Position enclosure between wall studs.
3.) Tabs should allow enclosure to protrude 1/8" beyond installed wall board.
Cable Installation:
1.) Remove necessary knockouts and install plastic grommets.
2.) Determine where the installed modules will be located and install cables
through the appropriate knockout.
3.) Use cable ties to organize cables.
Grounding:
1.) This box should be properly grounded using a N.E.C. approved grounding rod.
2.) Consult an electrician in your area for assistance, if needed.
Module Installation:
1.) Place the module into the wiring enclosure.
2.) Position the module so that the tabs and hooks slip into the slots.
3.) Push black latch tabs into box to lock module.
Cover:
1.) Install cover using (4) screws provided.
2.) A knockout is provided in the cover for inserting a cover lock, if desired (not included).
