Reviews of Cerwin Vega CLS-12 Tower Speaker with 12in Woofer, each

I wanted a real speaker. not a pretend speaker or a wanna be speaker but a REAL 12" 3 - Way speaker. It has to have a full sound with little coloration like ledgendary speakers of the past. And it has to have BASS without compromise or apology, no need for a hard to place subwoofer. The Cerwin-Vega CLS12 is that speaker and more. It has imaging that past speakers were not engineered to have. It has a smooth sound with little coloration. I'm tempted to toss out the window my so called audiophile, pretend speakers. This is how good the CLS-12 is,, BTW A1components shipped these babies the same day, no surprises..

I want to know why my review was taken off. I told the truth. What was advertised and what I bought and got was inconsistent with the specifications supplied by A1 versus Cerwein Vega. Cerwin Vega specification were NOT what was advertised here on this site!

I'm some what confused and let down. Although the shipping was great and no damage to the speakers, but after reading the specifications from Cerwin Vega the specs are not what a1 says they are. The spec sheet says 32 HZ to 20 KHZ. a1 says they are 28 HZ to 20 KHZ. I hope someone can explain this. I also confirmed this with a call to Cerwin Vega. I went this route to avoid buying a powered sub woofer to cover the low range.

Got 2 CV CLS-12's they sound great. I'v only had them at half power but i'm still rattling the house. A1components got my order out on the same day and I was enjoying my speakers 2 days later, Thank You.

i'm very happy with this speaker. believe it or not but this speaker replaced my B&W 802 S3 . i really like the huge sound stage and crystal clear sound, at all levels. dianne schuur sounded live in my house dianne krall the piano sounded very real nice smooth sounding. ok back to my music :)

I cannot tell you how happy I am with my new CLS-12 Cerwin Vegas! I owned a pair for 15 Years, until they finally gave out. These new ones sound better than ever! And the service I received from a1Components was simply outstanding! You have a customer for life!

I purchased a set of cerwin vegas for $500 each back in 1986 at Sears!.They lasted some 23 years, so you can see why I returned to a tested product. I purchased a set of the CLS-12's at less than $299.00 each! The qualiy is still there after all these years.But what I am most impressed with is the SOUND! The highs are so clear, it's like the artist is in front of you. The well known bass still delivers but ever so smooth. My new Harman Kardon 3490 feeds them perfectly, and my Yamaha CDC-697BL adds the finishing touches to a great sounding stereo system. Love, love, love my Cerwin Vegas!! Thanks to the good people at a1 Components for making it all happen.

well, i bought these speakers less than a week ago. ordered on friday, and got here on monday. they have very good shipping here. ok, onto the speakers. the pictures on here do them no justice. from the black box (which is actually black vynil tape stuff) to the red foam surround on the woofers. they are really a beautiful piece of elegance. and the sound. oh my the sound. right out of the box, they sound great..although the bass sounds a bit hollow, but once they loosen up a bit, there is just flawless, low bass. the mids and highs are awesome too. i have never owned a set of speakers that can send out such great highs as these..you can hear absolutely every high note. overall, i love these speakers. they sound better than a lot of professional dj setups..at least around here anyway. i am pushing them with a yamaha 6.1 ch surround receiver with 115 watts rms per channel. the cerwins sound a lot better when they are bi-amped than single wired. right now though i have them singled on the a channel and a set of infinity towers with 12" woofers on the b channel. so much bass! but i can honestly say that these cerwins sound much better than the infinity's. i am extremely happy with they vega's and would recommend them to anyone looking to spice up their home theater experience or music.
