Pre-Construction Speaker Brackets

Installation instructions for 6.5 inch / 8 inch In-Wall Speakers and 6.5 inch / 8 inch Ceiling Speakers

1. Place speaker bracket on the ground with 1/2" lip facing down (this is where the drywall hangers will cut, using this lip as their template) and strap clips facing up.
2. Unfold strap and stretch it out across the two strap clips on the bracket.
3. Pinch the strap in half, insert the strap into both of the strap clips and then release the strap. Repeat this procedure for the other side.
4. Place the bracket between two ceiling or wall joists and use a flat head roofing nail* on each side of the strap where the strap meets the joist (total of 4, *not included. A drywall screw will work but may tend to tear the strap; using a small washer can help.)
5. You should now be able to slide the bracket from side to side to the desired location for the drywall cut-out.
TECH TIP: Once the bracket is in the proper location, to keep it in position, it's a good idea to put a zip tie on the strap at all 4 corners where the strap meets the bracket. This helps keep it in the exact position you wanted it.
