Description & Features

Ubiquiti Networks PBE-M2-400 PowerBeam High-Performance Outdoor airMAX Bridge (2 GHz | 150+ Mbps | 20+ km Range)
Starting with the first-generation NanoBridge, Ubiquiti Networks pioneered the all-in-one design for an airMAX product functioning as a CPE (Customer Premises Equipment). Now Ubiquiti Networks launches the latest generation of CPE, the PowerBeam. The PowerBeam directs RF energy in a tighter beamwidth. With the focus in one direction, the PowerBeam blocks or spatially filters out noise, so noise immunity is improved. This feature is especially important in an area crowded with other RF signals of the same or similar frequency. Providing high performance and innovative mechanical design at a low cost, the PowerBeam is extremely versatile and cost-effective to deploy.

airMAX TDMA Technology
Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocol, Ubiquiti’s Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots scheduled by an intelligent AP controller. This time slot method eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency, so airMAX technology provides performance improvements in latency, noise immunity, scalability, and throughput compared to other outdoor systems in its class.

Advanced Software Technology
Ubiquiti’s airMAX technology is proven in millions of deployments worldwide, exhibiting outstanding performance in outdoor environments. The TDMA airMAX protocol enables unprecedented scalability, high throughput and low latency in unlicensed, multipoint networks. Up to 100 airMAX stations can be connected to each airMAX Sector, and intelligent QoS ensures priority is given to voice/video for seamless streaming.

Incredible Antenna “Beam” Performance
The form factor of the PowerBeam features the highest gain for its size. The PowerBeam’s excellent beam directivity provides the best performance in high-noise environments.

Integrated Radio Design
Ubiquiti’s InnerFeed technology integrates the radio into the feedhorn of an antenna, so there is no need for cables to connect the radio to the antenna. This improves performance because it eliminates cable losses.

Innovative Mechanical Design
The PowerBeam can be conveniently pole-mounted, with just a single wrench needed to do so. A built-in mechanical tilt is attained via a mounting bracket of the offers 20° of uptilt and 20° of downtilt. If needed, the antenna feed can be detached with the push of a button.

Industrial-Strength Construction
The dish and brackets of the PowerBeam are made of galvanized steel that is powder-coated for superior corrosion resistance. The pole bracket design prevents paint from being removed from the metal brackets for improved corrosion resistance. The fasteners are GEOMET-coated for improved corrosion resistance when compared with zinc-plated fasteners. Finally, a unique, protective radome is available as an optional accessory for the PowerBeam to shield the radio from the elements. All in all, such industrial-strength construction is ideal for use in nature's harshest elements.

airOS is a versatile, highly developed Ubiquiti firmware technology. It is exceptionally intuitive and was designed to require no training to operate. Behind the user interface is a powerful firmware architecture, which enables high performance, outdoor multi point networking. Among its features are: protocol support, Ubiquiti channelization, spectral width adjustment, ACK auto-timing, AAP technology, and multi-language support.

Integrated on all Ubiquiti M products, airView provides advanced spectrum analyzer functionality; waterfall, waveform, and real-time spectral views allow operators to identify noise signatures and plan their networks to minimize noise interference. You can even automate airView to record and report results.

airControl is a powerful and intuitive, web-based server network management application, which allows operators to centrally manage entire networks of Ubiquiti devices. Among its features are: network mapping, device status monitoring, mass firmware upgrade, web UI access, groups devices management, and task scheduling.
