Model XLS-12 12in 3-Way Tower speaker offers three-way performance in a stylish enclosure with popular red surrounds. This speaker features a 12in cast frame high excursion woofer, a 6.5in mid-range speaker, and a 1in soft dome tweeter coupled to a proprietary mid and high frequency waveguide. The 3-way XLS Series towers feature 2 pairs of gold-plated, all-metal binding posts, which let you choose the best type of amplification for your application. You can power the speakers with a single amplifier or separate woofer and mid-highs using dual amplification or a two-wire split.

I purchased the first series of Cerwin Vegas when they came out in the early 70's. Crazy Eddie in Broolyn New York was the only distributor at the time. I still have them (217R) and they still crank. Just bought new ones for my surround sound system. Just an awesome sound that never changed.

I've owned Cer's for over 2 decades 5.0 surrounds and they still rock as hard today as they did 22 years ago.

What an upgrade from Bose. These bad boys put out both highs, midrange and lows. We had to watch Death Race when I hooked these up. The output was awesome - it seemed as though the Ford Mustang's engine and exhaust, along with the explosions were right in our living room...vibrating the sofa. These also sound good with all kinds of music. I regret I didn't purchase these speakers earlier. Do NOT buy Bose!!!
